Eyewear & Optical, Saudi Arabia
JES Eyewear: A bilingual Shopify eyewear storefront with cash on delivery plus Tabby and Tamara instalments.
JES Eyewear sells frames and optical products in Saudi Arabia, a market where Arabic-first browsing and cash on delivery are mainstream expectations rather than edge cases. Eyewear also carries the fit problem, customers cannot judge how a frame suits them from a photograph.
The challenge
These were the specific constraints the project had to resolve.
- Frame fit and face suitability impossible to judge from product photography
- Arabic-first browsing required as the primary experience, not a translation layer
- Cash on delivery still a mainstream payment expectation in the market
- Instalment options needed for higher-value optical purchases
- Prescription products requiring a different flow from sunglasses
What we did
- Built a genuinely bilingual store with Arabic-first RTL design
- Implemented COD alongside Tabby and Tamara instalments
- Structured frame measurements so fit guidance is specific rather than generic
- Separated prescription and non-prescription purchase paths
- Optimised the catalogue for browsing by frame shape, material and face suitability

Growth model
We would rather be paid for the growth than the hours.
For ecommerce clients we can work on growth-share: an agreed baseline from your trailing performance, then a percentage of the incremental sales we create above it. No fixed retainer. If your revenue does not grow, we do not earn. It changes what we recommend, because we carry part of the risk of being wrong.

Eyewear & Optical
Eyewear is a fit-and-face product sold through a screen, and prescription lenses turn a simple purchase into a multi-step configuration with medical data attached. Most optical stores online solve neither and rely on the branch to close the sale.

Fashion commerce lives and dies on two numbers: conversion on the product page and cost of returns. Both are decided by how well you handle size and fit, and most stores in the UAE still ship a static size chart image and absorb the returns as a cost of doing business.
