Jawhara Jewellery: A maintenance engagement that became a full Shopify Plus rebuild, and tripled revenue within four months of launch.
Jawhara Jewellery is an established UAE jewellery retailer. We were originally brought in to maintain the existing store. It became clear quickly that maintenance was treating symptoms: the platform could not handle live gold-rate pricing, the catalogue structure could not express karat and weight variants properly, and checkout was losing high-value buyers who had no instalment option.
The challenge
These were the specific constraints the project had to resolve.
- Gold prices were being updated manually, so catalogue prices drifted from the day's actual rate
- Making charges were applied as a flat rule rather than varying by design, karat and weight
- High average order values were stalling at checkout with no instalment or finance path
- The Arabic experience was a translated layer rather than a genuine bilingual catalogue
- Merchandising changes required developer involvement, so campaigns moved slowly
What we did
- Rebuilt the storefront on Shopify Plus with a custom pricing application layered on top
- Built a live gold-rate engine that recalculates metal value, making charges and VAT across the catalogue on a daily schedule
- Restructured the catalogue so karat, weight, size and stone detail are first-class attributes rather than description text
- Introduced Tabby and Tamara instalments plus bank finance for high-ticket pieces
- Delivered a genuine bilingual Arabic/English catalogue with correct RTL layout
- Handed merchandising control to the client team so collections and campaigns ship without developers

Growth model
We would rather be paid for the growth than the hours.
For ecommerce clients we can work on growth-share: an agreed baseline from your trailing performance, then a percentage of the incremental sales we create above it. No fixed retainer. If your revenue does not grow, we do not earn. It changes what we recommend, because we carry part of the risk of being wrong.

Jewellery
Selling jewellery online is not selling a product with a fixed price. Gold moves daily, making charges differ by design, stone weight is certified separately, and a single ring can exist in six sizes and three metal colours. A generic store template treats all of that as one SKU and quietly breaks your margins.
Read onLuxury & Premium Brands
Luxury ecommerce fails when it is built like discount retail with better photography. High-value buyers are not looking for urgency banners and countdown timers, they are looking for confidence in authenticity, service that recognises them, and a purchase experience that matches the price.
Read onWatches
Watch buyers research obsessively. Movement type, case dimensions, water resistance, lug width, power reserve, these are not nice-to-have specifications, they are the entire basis of the purchase decision, and a store that treats them as description text loses to one that treats them as data.
