Most website projects in Dubai are judged on how the design looks in a presentation. Very few are judged on whether enquiries increased, which is the only thing the site was commissioned to do.
Structure follows the buying decision
Pages should answer the visitor's questions in the order they actually ask them: what is this, does it apply to me, what does it involve, can I trust you, what does it cost, what happens next. Sites organised around internal departments instead of buyer questions convert poorly regardless of visual quality.
Speed is a design decision
Heavy hero video, uncompressed imagery and a stack of third-party scripts are design choices with a measurable revenue cost on mobile connections. Performance has to be a constraint during design rather than an optimisation afterwards.
Bilingual means built twice, properly
Genuine right-to-left layout, Arabic typography and Arabic content written for Arabic search. A mirrored English site with translated strings is visibly a translation to Arabic-speaking visitors, and it reads as a lack of seriousness about that half of the market.
The CMS decides whether the site stays current
A site your marketing team cannot edit becomes stale within a quarter, and stale sites lose rankings. Configuring the CMS around your team's actual editing needs matters more than most of the design decisions above it.
